Our farm is located in South-western Serbia, the green and mountainous region of the country. Situated in a small village, on the slopes of “Zlatar” mountain and on the egde of the “Uvac natural reserve", it is a place of beauty and tranquility.
Zlatar mountain is green and wooded and has the greatest number of sunny days of all the mountains in Serbia, hence its name - Zlatar - which means golden mountain. Just below it flows the river Uvac, forming mesmerizing meanders that house a rare and protected colony of Griffin Vultures (Gyps Fulvus).
Natural reserve “Uvac” is home not only to the largest colony of Griffin Vultures in Europe, but also to many other protected plant and animal species. Part of the protected area are also three lakes and all the surrounding forests.
The south-western region of Serbia, where it is located, is an economically less developed region, but what it lacks in that area it more than makes up for in natural beauty. Considered the “green part of Serbia” it is a mountainous region, crisscrossed with rivers and lakes. Mountains Tara, Zlatar, Zlatibor, Golija and others, as well as several parks of nature (Tara, Kopaonik) and many natural reserves (Uvac, Mokra gora, Golija, Peštersko Polje, Klisura Reke Mileševke…) form the back bone of this must see destination for nature lovers.
